SPSC announces CCE 2024 results

Recommends 21 candidates for appointment

The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has announced the final results of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024, recommending 21 candidates for appointment to various posts in the provincial government.

According to an SPSC spokesperson, six candidates have been recommended for Provincial Management Service (BPS-17) posts, while 15 have been recommended for Deputy Superintendent of Police (BPS-17) positions. However, no candidate could qualify for the posts of Assistant Director (Executive), Excise and Taxation Officer, and Mukhtiarkar.

A total of 26,790 candidates applied for the CCE 2024. The screening test was held simultaneously in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkana in October 2025, with 17,271 candidates appearing. Of them, 11,179 candidates qualified, with a pass percentage of 64.73%.

The written examination was held in December 2025, but only 4,340 candidates appeared. Just 70 candidates qualified for the written examination, recording a pass percentage of 1.61%.

After scrutiny of documents, the qualified candidates appeared in interviews held in July 2026. Following the interviews, 21 candidates were recommended for appointment, while 41 were declared ineligible, seven were rejected and one remained absent.

The commission said all constitutional and legal requirements, including quotas for men, women, and rural and urban candidates, were taken into consideration while preparing the final results. Among the recommended candidates, Bashir Ahmed, who secured 800 marks, topped the list for DSP on the Open Merit Rural quota. Muhammad Owais Khan, with 765 marks, topped the Provincial Management Service Open Merit Rural category. The SPSC said that 93 BPS-17 posts were available under the CCE 2024, including 54 seats for rural candidates and 39 for urban candidates.
