Lindsay Clancy’s parents launch a $2 million GoFundMe as they support their daughter through her murder trial

Lindsay Clancy’s parents have launched a $2 million GoFundMe campaign to help cover the financial strain they say they have faced while supporting their daughter during her ongoing murder trial in Massachusetts, according to TMZ.

Mike and Paula Musgrove created the “Musgrove Family Fund” as Clancy’s criminal case continues in Plymouth Superior Court. According to the fundraiser, the couple have spent substantial portions of their savings on travel, accommodation, living expenses and other costs connected to the proceedings.

The family says Mike and Paula relocated from Connecticut to Massachusetts more than three years ago to remain close to their daughter and attend court hearings. Paula is retired, while Mike works as a photographer.

A GoFundMe spokesperson confirmed to TMZ that the fundraiser has been verified and is connected to Clancy.

Clancy is on trial over the January 2023 deaths of her three children, 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan. Prosecutors allege that she killed the children with exercise bands at the family’s home in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

Clancy has pleaded not guilty. Her defence has focused on her mental state, with her attorney arguing that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis at the time of the deaths and did not receive adequate support. Prosecutors have presented their own account of the events.

The GoFundMe campaign states that donors are not being asked to take a position on the criminal case. Mike and Paula are listed as the beneficiaries and will control how the funds are used. Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, is also aware of the fundraiser, according to the campaign.
