Elizabeth Olsen and Robbie Arnett have welcomed their first child after keeping pregnancy largely private

Elizabeth Olsen has welcomed her first child with husband Robbie Arnett, after keeping the pregnancy largely out of the public eye.

The WandaVision actor and Arnett were spotted taking a walk in Los Angeles on Saturday, with Olsen carrying an infant in a white baby carrier strapped to her chest.

She also used a green hat to shield the baby from the sun, while Arnett walked alongside her in casual clothing.

The sighting comes after Olsen was photographed in Southern California on August 7 without a visible baby bump.

News of the couple’s pregnancy emerged in June, although Olsen did not publicly discuss the announcement at the time. She had previously been photographed showing her bump while out in Los Angeles.

Olsen, 37, and musician Arnett, 34, have maintained a relatively private relationship since meeting while on holiday in Mexico in 2017. Olsen revealed the following year that Arnett had moved into her home.

During a 2021 interview, Olsen referred to Arnett as her “husband”. She later confirmed during an appearance on the Jess Cagle Show in 2022 that they had married “before COVID”.

“We eloped and then we had a wedding at another time,” Olsen said, without sharing further details about their wedding.

The actor had previously spoken about her hopes of becoming a parent. In a 2021 SiriusXM interview, she asked, “At what point do I get pregnant? At what point do I have my first baby? Is that five years from now? Because then I only have this kind of a window.”

Olsen also revealed that she had discussed starting a family with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who encouraged her to make decisions around her personal life.

Feige told her, “You live your life and we'll work around you.”
