Kelce and Swift married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Ahead of the preseason opener against the Los Angeles Rams, Kelce reflected on the wedding during a press conference at Chiefs training camp.
“It was a fun offseason, man,” Kelce said. “[Our] wedding was the best night of my life. I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us. That’s about all I really got from that night. It was a crazy night. It was full of a lot of celebration.”
Kelce also discussed the significance of getting married at Madison Square Garden, a venue he had long associated with major sporting events.
“MSG, man, I always told myself I’d go for a playoff game when the [New York] Knicks were rocking, and my wife went when I was stuck in minicamp,” he said. “I didn’t get the opportunity to go then, so it’s kind of cool to get to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue, the mecca of all sports venues, [by] being able to get married in there.”
He added, “I can’t thank the owners of MSG [enough] for allowing us to get the opportunity to do that, knowing that we wanted a private event and everything. The A/C was cooking, baby. That was the best part.”
Swift and Kelce have not publicly shared further details about their wedding.
