Four K-P heritage sites added to UNESCO list
Minister hails international recognition of Bhamaala, Sethi House, Barikot and Gor Gathri

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information and Public Relations Minister Shafi Jan has termed the inclusion of four more historical sites from the province in the UNESCO World Heritage Centre's Tentative List a major achievement for the provincial government and international recognition of its rich cultural heritage.
He said the inclusion of Bhamaala in Haripur, Sethi House and Gor Gathri in Peshawar, and Barikot in Swat on the UNESCO Tentative List would highlight the historical and cultural significance of K-P at the global level.
Shafi Jan said that under the vision of founding chairman Imran Khan and the leadership of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, efforts to preserve and promote the province's historical and cultural heritage were continuing. "Our rich cultural heritage is our pride and a trust for future generations," he said.
He said preservation, restoration and international promotion of historical heritage remained among the provincial government's priorities.
