PM directs relief for flood-affected people

ISLAMABAD:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday directed the NDMA to utilize all available resources to provide maximum assistance and relief to the people affected by floods across the country.

Talking to NDMA Chairman Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, who briefed him on the prevailing weather situation in the country, the prime minister directed the NDMA to maintain effective coordination with the relevant provincial authorities and PDMAs.

He also appreciated the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and modern technology at the National Emergencies Operations Centre.
