ISLAMABAD:

Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Babar Sattar has vacated his official residence in Islamabad following a notice issued by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) registrar, it emerged on Thursday, bringing to an end a dispute over his retention of the government accommodation after his transfer.

The State Office had cancelled the allotment of the residence on July 3, following which the IHC registrar issued a notice to Justice Babar Sattar, directing him to vacate the house within 30 days.

The notice stated that the residence was to be vacated within one month of July 3.

Sources said that after his transfer to the PHC, Justice Babar Sattar had not taken a separate official residence in Peshawar and had instead decided to retain his official house in Islamabad.
