E-stamping system glitch irks citizens
.

Citizens and stamp vendors are facing severe difficulties due to a technical fault in the e-stamping online system operated by the Punjab Land Records Authority in Rawalpindi district, Taxila, Wah Cantonment and tehsil offices.
According to users, one-time passwords (OTPs) are not being received during registration or verification on the system, preventing citizens from completing their applications and other necessary procedures.
Citizens and stamp vendors said that despite repeated attempts, OTPs were not being delivered to mobile numbers, while the failure to proceed with online transactions was resulting in a loss of both time and money.
Stamp vendors, property dealers and ordinary citizens, in particular, are facing difficulties on a daily basis, they said.
Affected citizens have demanded that the Punjab Land Records Authority immediately fix the technical fault in the e-stamping system and OTP service and ensure uninterrupted online facilities for citizens.
They said that if even a routine verification code was not received on time despite the availability of a modern online system, the public would continue to face unnecessary difficulties in accessing government services.
They urged the authorities to take immediate notice of the issue and make the system fully operational.
