Tyler Duckworth’s final 'Challenge Mania' post gains attention following death at 44

Tyler Duckworth remained active on social media shortly before his death at 44, with his final Instagram post shared just days before he died.

Duckworth’s mother, Joni, announced his death in a Facebook post, writing, “My son, Tyler, passed away earlier this week,” and adding, “Cause of death has yet to be determined. I will post on Facebook about services as soon as his dad and I figure it out.”

The Real World: Key West and The Challenge star’s final Instagram post was published on August 2 and featured photographs from the “Challenge Mania” event in Minneapolis on July 31.

Duckworth appeared alongside fellow The Challenge alumni Rachel Robinson, Brad Fiorenza, Tina Barta and Mark Long.

He continued, “Hearing your stories of courage, inspiration & joy that you’ve got being a fan of the franchise is humbling each and every time. Also, pretty sure we nailed the cast photo for the lost season of The Real World: Minneapolis!! Thank you Minneapolis!”

Following news of his death, friends, former castmates and fans shared tributes in the comments.

“Crazy brother. You were so full of life here. Rest in peace Tyler,” Paulie Calafiore wrote.

Duckworth competed across multiple seasons of The Challenge and became a two-time champion. His recent appearance at “Challenge Mania” marked one of his final public interactions with fellow members of the franchise’s community.
