GTA 6 Extended Look may be longer than expected, as Rockstar hints at multiple episodes

Netflix’s GTA 6 Extended Look may span three episodes, while Rockstar and Take-Two have hinted at more content

Netflix’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look could consist of multiple episodes, according to an unverified listing that briefly appeared on the streaming platform’s Portuguese website.

Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look will premiere on Netflix on August 27.

However, a screenshot reportedly captured from Netflix Portugal appeared to show three separate episode placeholders for the presentation.

As reported by Insider Gaming, the listings showed runtimes of 23 minutes and 37 seconds, 24 minutes and 41 seconds, and 18 minutes and 29 seconds. If accurate, the three episodes would amount to more than 66 minutes of GTA 6 footage.

The information has since disappeared, and Netflix’s current listing does not show an episode count or runtime. Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive and Netflix have not confirmed that the Extended Look will be divided into multiple episodes.

The listing could therefore have been an unfinished placeholder, a website error or altered information. The reported runtimes should not be treated as confirmation of the presentation’s final format.

However, comments from Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick have suggested that Rockstar has more GTA 6 marketing planned beyond the Netflix presentation.

Zelnick previously described the Extended Look as “one of the hors d’oeuvres” before adding: “There’s appetizers, main course and dessert to follow.”

Zelnick has also said the Netflix presentation will “feel like a show” and encouraged audiences to watch it.

The Extended Look will premiere on Netflix at 3pm ET on August 27 before arriving on Rockstar’s YouTube channel and the GTA 6 website six hours later at 9pm ET.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.
