Chris Evans has opened up about fatherhood and how becoming a parent has changed his priorities.
The 45-year-old Avengers: Doomsday actor discussed his family life during an appearance at FanExpo Boston 2026, where he revealed that he and wife Alba Baptista now have a daughter.
“I have a daughter now,” Evans said during a panel. “You need a really good reason to walk into work. So priorities have shifted.”
"Mas agora eu também tenho uma filha, e...Você precisa de um motivo REALMENTE bom para querer ir trabalhar agora."

Evans and Baptista welcomed their first child, a daughter named Alma Grace Baptista Evans, in October 2025. The couple has largely kept their family life private since becoming parents.
The pair married in September 2023 during a private ceremony at their Boston-area home in Massachusetts.
According to reports at the time, the wedding was tightly secured, with guests reportedly signing non-disclosure agreements and surrendering their phones.
Baptista and Evans made a public appearance together at the 2026 Oscars in March, marking their first public event since welcoming their daughter.
The actress also accompanied Evans to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party following the ceremony.
Baptista, 29, has continued promoting her acting work, including her film Mother Mary. Earlier this year, she was asked about Evans’ support and whether he had watched the film.
Meanwhile, Evans is preparing to reprise his Marvel role in Avengers: Doomsday.
At FanExpo Boston, he also discussed the return of Steve Rogers, adding to interest surrounding his next appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
