Two found murdered in separate incidents

Two people, including a young woman, were allegedly murdered in separate incidents in Faisalabad, police said.

Police said 55-year-old Allah Ditta, a power-loom worker and resident of Chak 227-RB, left his home to buy milk but did not return. His son, Muhammad Kashif, told police that unidentified suspects allegedly abducted his father, subjected him to severe torture and killed him before dumping his body.

Police recovered the body and, after completing the necessary legal formalities, handed it over to the deceased's family.

In a separate incident in the jurisdiction of Balochni police, the body of a young woman was found stuffed in a sack and dumped in a sugarcane field near Hunza Sugar Mills in Chak 66-RB.

Police said the unidentified woman had allegedly been tied with ropes, tortured and killed before her body was placed in the sack and abandoned.

A citizen spotted the sack and alerted police. Balochni SHO Mohsin Haral and other police officials reached the scene, recovered the body and shifted it to a hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police said efforts were under way to identify the woman and arrest her killers with the help of CCTV footage.

A case under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code was registered against unidentified suspects on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Abdul Sattar Nasir.
