FPSC suspends online services

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has temporarily suspended online applications and registration services on all its web platforms amid fears of possible cyberattacks around Independence Day.

According to a public notice issued by the FPSC, all its web services will remain in "read-only mode" until August 16 as a precautionary measure against potential cyber threats.

As a result, the online registration and application facility for the MPT-2027 has been temporarily suspended. Online registration for the test will remain closed until noon on August 16.

The FPSC urged the public to take note of the temporary suspension and said a notice had been issued regarding the restricted access to its web services.

Meanwhile, the commission has decided to digitise its communication system for candidates appearing in general recruitment examinations.

Under the new system, candidates will receive notifications through web notices, email and SMS regarding document scrutiny and interview schedules.

Candidates will also be informed through web notices, email and SMS if their applications are rejected, along with the reasons for rejection.
