Angelina Jolie reportedly not surprised by Brad Pitt’s drinking update
Angelina Jolie is reportedly unfazed by Brad Pitt's decision to drink again after seven years of sobriety

Angelina Jolie is reportedly unfazed by Brad Pitt's recent disclosure that he has resumed drinking after seven years of complete sobriety, with an insider claiming the actress had previously warned people about the possibility.
Pitt discussed his decision in a recent Esquire profile, explaining that he had chosen to reintroduce alcohol in moderation following years without drinking.
The actor said he now occasionally allows himself glasses of wine, while acknowledging that moderation can be difficult.
During the interview, Pitt also discussed personal mental health struggles, feelings of isolation and changes within his family, including his distance from his children.
According to sources speaking to Rob Shuter, Jolie was not surprised by Pitt's decision. An insider claimed that the actress had previously expressed concerns about the actor and his ability to maintain long-term changes.
“Angelina is not surprised. She tried to warn people. She knew this was always a possibility,” the source stated.
The insider further claimed that Jolie remains sceptical about whether Pitt has fundamentally changed since their highly publicised split.
“She doesn't believe Brad has fundamentally changed. She believes Brad is who Brad is, and no amount of sobriety or reinvention changes that,” the source shared.
The source characterised Jolie's reported response as an “I told you so” reaction, although the actress is said to be keeping her distance from the discussion surrounding Pitt's personal choices.
Pitt and Jolie separated in 2016, the same year Pitt began his period of complete sobriety. Their separation was followed by years of legal disputes involving custody arrangements and shared business interests.
According to the report, Jolie now considers that chapter of their relationship finished and is expecting Pitt to make his own decisions regarding his personal life.
