Woman killed by estranged husband

LAHORE:

A woman was shot dead allegedly by her husband in Gujjarpura after she refused to return to their home fol-lowing a dispute.

The victim, 20-year-old Bushra, was a resident of Karol village and had been staying with her parents after the dispute with her husband, Imran. Police said the suspect went to her parents' home to per-suade her to return home with him.

When she refused, he allegedly became enraged and shot her dead. The suspect fled after the shooting. The police shifted the body to a morgue for post-mortem examination and launched efforts to arrest the suspect.
