Illegal blasting claims two lives

Two labourers were killed when a section of a hill collapsed during alleged illegal blasting and crushing operations in the Salar Gah area of Taxila, while the owner of the crushing plant and his manager allegedly fled the scene with the victims' bodies.

Police registered a case against the crushing plant owner and his manager under the Pakistan Penal Code and the Explosives Act.

According to police, the case was registered on behalf of the state on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Qaiser Abbas. The FIR stated that police received a call through Rescue 15 reporting blasting at the Salar Gah hill for a crushing machine owned by Javed Irshad.

A police team reached the site and learned that the owner, Javed Irshad, and his manager, Munir Khan, were allegedly carrying out blasting operations illegally.
