Netflix sets November premiere for teen thriller 'The Body'

Netflix has announced the release date for The Body, an upcoming teen thriller inspired by popular ’90s and Y2K films including Carrie and Jennifer’s Body.

Created by Quinn Shephard, the eight-episode Netflix series follows a group of Catholic school girls who begin experiencing prophecy-like visions after a dance-team initiation goes wrong. Their experiences soon create panic throughout their town.

The Body will premiere on Netflix on Nov. 11, 2026. Shephard serves as the series creator, showrunner and director.

The main cast includes Sofia Wylie as Grace Franklin, Kristina Bogic as Anya Butler, Sara Boustany as Elise Zakaria, Geena Meszaros as Lisbeth Anderson, Nnamdi Asomugha as Father Franklin, Louisa Krause as Maddie Delaney and Jackson Kelly as Leo Anderson.

Kyra Pierce, Phallon Pierce, Marcel Ruiz, Orlando Norman, Gabby Windey, Ashley Madekwe, Motell Foster, Cale Ambrozic, Anna Tierney, Chloe Longname, Sarah Abbott, Emily Roman, Michela Luci, Bella Neuspiel, Julia Lowe and Christine Solomon are also part of the recurring cast.

The series is executive produced by Peter Chernin, Amy Israel and Josh Stern for North Road; Riley Keough, Gina Gammell and Sacha Ben Harroche for Felix Culpa; and Blair Breard.

Netflix has also announced additional casting for The Sticks, its upcoming hockey drama created by Nick Naveda. Scott Bakula, Logan Marshall-Green and Alex MacIsaac will star as series regulars, while Bryan Greenberg, Chelsea Field, Patrick Gallagher, Alison Araya, Aman Smardon, Krista Bridges and Ben Cotton have joined the recurring cast.

The Sticks is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2027.
