LAHORE:

A sessions court has rejected Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari's request to record her statement in a case through video link, directing her to appear in the next hearing for the purpose.

Additional Sessions Judge Nusrat Ali Siddiqui announced the decision upholding the order of a judicial magistrate who had directed the minister to appear before the court in person for recording her statement.

Azma Bukhari had challenged the magistrate's decision, seeking permission to appear and record her statement through video link.
