Sui Gas employees across the country are protesting against the torture of a special task force of the gas supplier, at the hands of the employees of a private factory in Lahore.

The Sui Gas company formed a special task force to nab the people responsible for stealing the natural gas supplied by the company.

The task force severed an illegal gas connection of a private factory at Sheikhupura. The owner of the factory and former MNA Rana Tanveer forcefully detained the Sui Gas task force and had them beaten up.

Employees of Sui Gas in Faisalabad, Sargodha, Peshawar, Lahore, Multan, Rahimyar Khan, and other areas in the country rallied on roads with placards and banners.

They demanded that the Punjab chief minister to take action against the people responsible for attacking the task force.

I hear the Sui Gas employees are still protesting the severe physical torture inflicted by MNA Rana Tanveer and his men, when they carried out their duty of cutting off his illegal gas supply. It wouldn't do to let rest cases of the corrupt, powerful and cruel throwing their unwanted weight around. If someone somewhere carried out their duty honestly, they should be supported and the criminals who were sure of their own authority should be arrested, tried and punished to set a new example.
