PERA steps up crackdown on hoarders
The Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) has intensified its crackdown on hoarders, illegal occupants and unauthorised commercial constructions in Faisalabad, recovering 100 maunds of illegally stored wheat and sealing a warehouse, officials said.
Official sources said Sub-Divisional Enforcement Officer PERA Faisalabad Saddar Dr Muhammad Zeeshan Irshad, along with his enforcement team, raided a warehouse in the Dijkot area following information about wheat hoarding.
The team recovered around 100 maunds of wheat allegedly stored illegally and sealed the warehouse in accordance with the law.
Officials warned that no concession would be given to those involved in hoarding, illegal profiteering or activities detrimental to public interests, adding that action against such elements would continue without discrimination.
