MALAKWAL:

A proclaimed offender from the village of Salem in Sargodha district, allegedly involved in multiple murders and recently accused of abducting a Punjab Police constable, remains at large, with no confirmed action against him so far, sources said on Saturday.

The suspect, identified as Inam Wais, has allegedly challenged the Crime Control Department (CCD) and other law-enforcement agencies by abducting the police constable and circulating a video of the incident on social media.

Unverified reports claiming that the constable had been recovered also circulated widely on social media, but sources said there was no official confirmation of his recovery.

According to local sources, Inam Wais belongs to a family from Salem that has allegedly been involved in criminal activities for years.

His father is identified as Nasr Iqbal and grandfather as Umar Hayat.
