BHAKKAR:

A state-of-the-art diagnostic laboratory equipped with advanced Japanese medical technology has become fully operational at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Bhakkar, providing round-the-clock diagnostic services to hundreds of thousands of residents across the district and surrounding areas.

The laboratory, established at a cost of millions of rupees, is expected to significantly improve access to specialised diagnostic testing, eliminating the need for patients to travel to cities such as Multan, Lahore and Sargodha for many routine, complex and life-saving medical tests.

Health officials said the newly installed Japanese equipment has begun functioning and will enable the hospital to diagnose a wide range of complex and critical diseases locally.

They added that early diagnosis would improve treatment outcomes, help save lives and reduce the burden on patients seeking specialised healthcare.
