Govt to launch live career counselling: Sharjeel

KARACHI:

The Sindh government has decided to launch live career counselling for youth through its "I Work for Sindh" platform, aiming to connect young people with skills and employment opportunities.

Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said experts from various industries will begin providing career counselling from this month. He said 4,935 people have so far registered on the platform's Learn and Earn programme, with 2,735 completing courses while around 2,000 remain enrolled. The programme will offer more than 1,200 short courses aligned with international standards.

Sharjeel said the initiative is not only linking youth to jobs but also equipping them with modern, market-relevant skills.
