Pakistan U-21 team to face South Korea in final Test

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has decided to field the Pakistan Under-21 National Hockey Team in the fourth and final test match against South Korea after the senior national side secured a commanding 3-0 lead in the series.

The squad change is part of the federation’s strategy to provide valuable international exposure to emerging players and assess their progress against a strong South Korean team. With the series already secured, the final encounter will offer Pakistan’s young talent an opportunity to compete at a higher level and gain experience in international hockey.

The Pakistan U-21 team enters the match after an impressive recent tour of Oman, where the junior side completed a 3-0 series sweep against the hosts. The performances highlighted the depth of talent available in Pakistan hockey and strengthened hopes for the development of future national team players.

The PHF management believes testing the junior players against an experienced South Korean side will help prepare them for upcoming international challenges and improve their competitiveness on the global stage.

The final test match will be played today at the Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad. The match will begin at 5:00 PM, with entry open to the public.
