AC compressor explosion victim dies

DIJKOT:

A man who suffered burn injuries after an air-conditioner compressor exploded at a house in Faisalabad has died in hospital, police said on Thursday.

The deceased, identified as 36-year-old Adnan had sustained severe burns in the explosion that occurred in Masoodabad 7, within the jurisdiction of Samanabad police station.

He remained under treatment at Allied Hospital but succumbed to his injuries despite medical efforts.

Police completed the necessary legal formalities and handed the body over to his family for burial.

The incident occurred a day earlier when the compressor of an air-conditioner reportedly exploded due to a suspected gas leak, leaving eight members of the same family, including a woman and two children, with burn injuries.
