PSX investor base tops 600,000

The Pakistan Stock Exchange crossed the milestone of 600,000 investors for the first time in its history in July, with the total investor base reaching 607,025, the Ministry of Finance said on Thursday.

July also recorded the second-highest monthly increase in investor accounts in PSX history, with 23,973 new investors joining the market.

The latest surge in investor participation is being driven largely by Generation Z and first-time retail investors, indicating increasing public confidence in Pakistan's capital markets and expanding participation in formal investment avenues.
