Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have marked the anniversary of their second wedding ceremony, amid an ongoing rift between Brooklyn and his family.
The couple held the private ceremony in August last year, with members of the Beckham family reportedly not invited.
According to The Sun, Brooklyn and Nicola now regard the date as the occasion they will celebrate publicly.
A source told the publication, “Brooklyn and Nicola’s first wedding in April 2022 is not an occasion they look back on fondly.”
“Nicola ended up in tears. It’s not something they want to be reminded of.”
The source added that their second ceremony “does hold so many happy memories” and said the couple had decided to celebrate that date going forward.
Nicola shared a photograph of herself kissing Brooklyn on Instagram, writing, “Happy anniversary my love.
“You make life so beautiful. thank you for being the most amazing husband I could ever dream of.”
Brooklyn also posted a tribute, saying, “Happy anniversary Nicola I can’t tell you how much I love you x you are my absolute princess and I promise to always protect you xx”.
The couple’s second ceremony followed controversy surrounding their 2022 wedding. Brooklyn later described the first wedding as an “embarrassment” and said they wanted to renew their vows to create happier memories.
He also criticised his mother Victoria Beckham, claiming, “My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song.”
Victoria’s friends disputed his account, saying there was “nothing inappropriate about the dance”
