Flooding, truck crash shut Babusar, KKH

ISLAMABAD:

The Babusar Highway was closed after high level flooding at Thak while traffic on the Karakoram Highway suspended following the overturning of a freight truck near Shing Nala (Goner Farm), disrupting travel to the northern areas and prompting authorities to urge motorists to avoid non-essential journeys until both routes are restored.

According to the NHA, the Babusar Highway is completely closed to traffic at Zero Point after floodwaters inundated the road at Thak.

However, traffic on the Karakoram Highway is also suspended after a loaded truck overturned.
