FM Dar mourns Broad Peak avalanche victims
.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday expressed grief over the deaths of 10 mountaineers, including renowned Nepalese climber Nirmal Purja, in an avalanche on Gilgit-Baltistan's Broad Peak, while reaffirming Pakistan's commitment to the ongoing search, rescue and recovery efforts.
Dar's statement followed last week's avalanche on Broad Peak, which killed mountaineers from six countries including Nepal, the UK, China, the US, Oman, and Pakistan. The avalanche struck the international expedition as climbers were ascending from Camp 2 to Camp 3 on the world's 12th-highest mountain.
