KARACHI
MQM-P central leader Syed Mustafa Kamal on Sunday announced the formal commencement of Independence Day celebrations from the party headquarters in Bahadurabad, urging workers to intensify public outreach during the month of August.
Addressing party members, Mustafa Kamal, who is also federal minister for health, said the current national circumstances demand renewed efforts to realise the vision of Pakistan's founders, particularly Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. "True independence lies in empowering the common man at their doorstep," he said.
He added that while the country faces multiple challenges, there are also opportunities for progress, adding that MQM-P would continue its struggle for the prosperity of the state and its people.
Extending advance greetings on the upcoming Independence Day, Kamal said that from August 1 to August 14, the party would organise "grand and historic" celebrations across all zones and districts in Sindh as well as other parts of the country.
He directed party office-bearers to strengthen engagement with the public in their respective areas, towns and units, and ensure that Independence Day activities are widely promoted on social media.
