Minister Shafi visits martyred DSP Diyar's family
On the special directives of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, Provincial Minister for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan, accompanied by Special Assistant for Prisons Iftikharullah Jan, visited the residence of DSP Diyar Khan in District Charsadda on Friday. DSP Diyar Khan was martyred in a terrorist attack in Hangu.
The minister expressed heartfelt condolences to the martyr's family, offered fateha, and prayed for the elevation of the martyr's ranks and for patience for the bereaved.
Speaking on the occasion, Information Minister Shafi Jan said that martyred DSP Diyar Khan and other police martyrs had set a new example of bravery, sense of duty and sacrifice by laying down their lives for peace, the rule of law and the protection of the public. Their sacrifices, he added, would always be held in the highest esteem.
He said the immortal sacrifices of K-P police officers and jawans in the war against terrorism could never be forgotten. Shafi Jan assured the families of the martyrs that they should never consider themselves alone, as the provincial government stands with them in every difficult hour. The government, he said, is utilising all available resources to ensure complete support, welfare and every possible financial assistance for the families of the shuhada.
