AJK poll campaign ends at midnight

MUZAFFARABAD:

Electioneering for the second phase of the 2026 Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) general elections will end at midnight between July 31 and Aug 1, ahead of polling scheduled for Aug 2 in 21 constituencies.

According to the election commission, voting will take place in nine constituencies of the Muzaffarabad Division and 12 constituencies reserved for Kashmiri refugees residing in Pakistan.

The commission said all forms of electioneering will be prohibited after the campaign deadline. Public meetings, rallies, processions, corner meetings, and participation in campaign activities will not be permitted during the mandatory silence period.
