Kanye West settles sexual harassment lawsuit with former assistant

Kanye West has reached an unconditional settlement with former personal assistant Lauren Pisciotta, resolving her sexual harassment lawsuit against the rapper.

According to court documents submitted to a Los Angeles court, the settlement was reached on July 23.

The filing states that it is "unconditional" and that a request to dismiss the case will be filed within 45 days.

TMZ reported that West was later seen celebrating at a nightclub in Ibiza following the agreement.

Pisciotta filed the lawsuit in June 2024, alleging sexual harassment and wrongful termination. She began working for West in July 2021 while he was preparing to launch his Yeezy fashion line.

According to her complaint, Pisciotta accepted an offer of $1 million (£750,000) to work as West's assistant on the condition that she would be available to him 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

She alleged that during her employment, West shared explicit descriptions of sexual acts he wanted to experience, as well as photographs and videos of himself engaging in sexual activity with other women.

Pisciotta also claimed that West became angry after she rejected what she described as his attempts to "date or have sex" with her.

In September 2022, Pisciotta said she was promoted to chief of staff for several of West's companies with an annual salary of $4 million (£3 million). She alleged that she was dismissed from the role one month later.

An amended complaint filed in October 2024 also accused West of drugging and sexually assaulting Pisciotta during a studio session involving Sean "Diddy" Combs.

West denied the allegations, describing them as "baseless".

The settlement concludes the legal dispute between West and Pisciotta. The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, and the court filing indicates that the case will be formally dismissed once the required paperwork has been submitted.
