Raid on AGP's home: Six cops get bail

A sessions court on Wednesday granted interim pre-arrest bail to six police officials, including an SHO, in a case registered over an alleged raid on the residence of Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) Mansoor Usman Awan.
Additional Sessions Judge Zulfiqar Ahmad Naeem, as the duty judge, issued a written order directing the police not to arrest the accused until August 12.
The judge admitted the officials' bail against surety bonds of Rs50,000 each and directed them to join the investigation at the earliest and appear before the court on every date of hearing.
SHO Ijaz Haider, Muhammad Irfan, Seerat Tariq and three other police officials were granted the interim relief.
According to the order, the petitioners had sought pre-arrest bail regarding an FIR registered on Tuesday at Sarwar Road Police Station under Section 155-C of the Police Order.
