Sindh woos US investors with PPP pitch
.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday invited American investors to partner in the province's economic growth, promising a transparent, stable and investor-friendly environment backed by policy continuity and a globally recognised public-private partnership (PPP) framework.
Speaking at a high-level meeting with a US business delegation at the Chief Minister's House, CM Shah highlighted Sindh's strategic location, strong industrial base and vast investment potential across energy, technology, infrastructure, healthcare, tourism, agriculture and logistics.
He said Sindh contributed around 25% to Pakistan's GDP and served as the country's largest commercial hub, offering natural access to regional and global markets. "Sindh is open for business," he said, adding that regulatory reforms, simplified procedures and digital governance were being implemented to ease investment.
Special Assistant to the CM on Investment and PPP Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar briefed participants on investment-ready projects and successful PPP ventures, noting that projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars had already been executed, with multi-billion-dollar opportunities available in key sectors.
CM Shah underscored opportunities in renewable energy, advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies, pointing to Thar coal reserves, wind and solar resources, a long coastline and connectivity through Karachi Port and Port Qasim. He also outlined major initiatives, including the proposed Keti Bandar Industrial and Maritime Hub, Sindh International Financial Centre, green energy-powered data centres, AI-led projects, industrial and technology zones, desalination plants and coastal tourism schemes.
The chief minister assured investors of full facilitation at all stages, from planning to execution. "We will provide complete support in building partnerships and implementing projects," he said.
