Zeb Bangash teases 'Pakistan Idol' comeback with behind-the-scenes posts

Singer confirms show will return after production was halted earlier this year

Singer Zeb Bangash has confirmed that Pakistan Idol is returning to complete its second season, thanking fans for their patience after production was halted earlier this year.

Bangash shared the announcement on her Instagram Stories, posting a screengrab from a behind-the-scenes video of herself preparing for filming alongside photos with fellow judges and contestants.

"Our Pakistan Idol bulbuls are back and so are we. Coming soon to you all! Thank you all for the love and for missing us so much! We missed you too," she wrote.

The announcement follows a series of behind-the-scenes posts from members of the judging panel, fuelling speculation that the show's return was imminent.

Last week, Bangash shared a video of herself getting ready for filming before appearing on the Pakistan Idol set alongside fellow judge Bilal Maqsood.

"It takes a village," she wrote in the caption, thanking her team.

In June, director Nadeem J confirmed that production had resumed and expressed hope that the series would return by the end of July or in August.

He also said the team was working within Fremantle's global production framework and ensuring the format met the franchise's international standards.

While Bangash's announcement confirms that Pakistan Idol is returning, the production team has yet to announce an official premiere date.
