Deadline issued for Mirpur poll campaign

MIRPURKHAS:

The election campaign for the July 27 general elections in Mirpur Division of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) will officially conclude at midnight between July 25 and July 26, the District Returning Officer (DRO) announced on Friday.

The deadline has been set in accordance with the election schedule, the Election Commission of AJK's Code of Conduct and relevant election laws, including Section 112.

In an official statement, the DRO directed all contesting candidates, political parties, election agents and workers to strictly observe the campaign deadline.
