Seven-year-old falls victim to open manhole

Another child has fallen victim to Karachi's deadly open manholes, with a seven-year-old boy losing his life after plunging into an uncovered drain in Moach Goth, sparking a road protest by grieving family members and residents who accused authorities of criminal negligence.

Child, identified as Jahangir, reportedly fell into the open manhole while playing, according to Mochko SHO Sohail Farooq. Enraged by the incident, the victim's family and area residents placed the child's body near the Northern Bypass and staged a protest.
