Nine K-P law officers resign amid tensions

Nine Additional and Assistant Advocate Generals have resigned from the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Advocate General's office amid growing internal differences and reported tensions.

Among those who resigned are Additional Advocate General Inam Yousafzai and Assistant Advocate General Muhammad Naeem. In their resignation letters submitted to the Chief Minister, the officers expressed complete confidence in the provincial political leadership and described their two-year service under the PTI government as a matter of pride. However, they stated they could no longer continue in their positions.

Speaking to the media, senior lawyer Inam Yousafzai levelled serious allegations against the provincial leadership of the Insaaf Lawyers Forum (ILF). He claimed that certain office-bearers of the forum had been demanding monthly payments from law officers in the Advocate General's office. When he sought information regarding these funds, he was allegedly targeted and pressured to resign.

Yousafzai maintained that he is a loyal soldier of PTI founder Imran Khan and enjoys the support of the party's top leadership. He accused the provincial president of the Insaaf Lawyers Forum of exploiting personal differences and forcing the provincial government to accept the resignations.
