Viral road rage video leads to arrest

A viral video showing a motorist allegedly damaging a food delivery rider's motorcycle with a hockey stick in DHA has led to police action, with police detaining the accused along with his vehicle.

The incident took place on Thursday morning in DHA Phase VI, where a food delivery rider's bike was allegedly hit by a car. Following the accident, a video recorded by a content creator went viral on social media, showing the car driver becoming enraged and striking the rider's motorcycle with a hockey stick.

The video drew widespread criticism from social media users, who demanded action against the motorist. Later, Darakhshan Police took the accused into custody and shifted him to the police station. SHO Rashid said the detained man owns a travel agency in Badar Commercial. He added that preliminary information suggested Haseeb suffers from high blood pressure and that an argument had taken place between the car driver and the delivery rider after the collision, following which the driver allegedly became aggressive.
