Liberty Bell display opens at Lok Virsa

Ceremony highlights Pak-US cultural ties, recovery of 450 artefacts

ISLAMABAD:

Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi and the United States Chargé d'Affaires Andy Halus on Thursday inaugurated the "Let Freedom Ring" American Liberty Bell display at Lok Virsa Heritage Museum, celebrating the enduring partnership between Pakistan and the United States.

The Minister congratulated the American nation on the occasion of the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of US Independence. Khichi reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to strengthening ties with the United States, stating that Pakistan shares the same ideals that inspired the American Dream.

He said it was a pleasure to host the event at Lok Virsa Museum, an institution that has served as the custodian of Pakistan's cultural heritage. He highlighted the repatriation of a number of Pakistani cultural artefacts from the United States in recent years.

Concluding his address, the Minister called for further strengthening Pakistan-US friendship through continued cultural collaboration.
