'Heated Rivalry' soundtrack scores major Billboard, becomes first series in a decade to do so

The soundtrack enters the Billboard 200 chart at No 8, marking one of the years biggest charting debuts

The soundtrack to Heated Rivalry has made an impressive debut on the Billboard 200, becoming one of the biggest soundtrack releases of the year after the film's music resonated with fans across streaming platforms.

According to Billboard, the album enters the chart at No 8, earning 48,000 equivalent album units in the United States during its opening week. The total includes 31,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, 16,000 traditional album sales and 1,000 track equivalent album (TEA) units. 

The soundtrack's strong opening was driven largely by streaming, with its collection of original songs and featured artists quickly finding an audience following the film's release. Several tracks also gained traction on TikTok and other social media platforms, helping boost the album's visibility.

Its debut marks one of the highest-charting soundtrack openings of 2026 and continues the growing trend of film soundtracks finding renewed commercial success in the streaming era. The album joins a select group of recent soundtrack releases to crack the Billboard 200's top 10. 

The chart success also reflects the popularity of Heated Rivalry, whose emotional story and music have become closely intertwined for audiences. Fans have praised the soundtrack for complementing the film's central romance, with several songs becoming favourites beyond the movie itself.

Billboard noted that the soundtrack's performance was supported by strong digital sales alongside healthy streaming numbers, demonstrating interest from both collectors and casual listeners. 

With the soundtrack continuing to perform well on streaming services, industry observers expect it to remain a fixture on the Billboard 200 in the coming weeks, further cementing Heated Rivalry as one of the year's biggest entertainment success stories.
