A nuclear war is closer than we like to believe
.

I came across an interesting thing on social media the other day. It said that the things we have today were once our dreams. It not only made me almost cry but also made me see things differently and I am now more thankful for all that I have rather than to whine about the things I don't. I borrowed money for an airplane ticket to travel to America 16 years ago. Yes, the life I have today was a dream when I was on that flight.
There is a sinister duplicate of that aspect in the world of politics. The threats to humanity's survival today were once in the realm of nightmares. The conspiracy theories that were laughed at once have almost all turned out to be true. Charles Manson was a creation of the CIA's MKUltra and FBI's COINTELPRO programmes, designed to control human minds. Ted Kaczynsky became the Unabomber because of what was done to him during mind experiments at Harvard by the same MKUltra. Timothy McVeigh who did the Oklahoma City bombing was working for the FBI. Bin Laden and Anwar al Awlaki were once working for American Intelligence. The US government and Israel knew about 9/11 beforehand. The BBC reported the collapse of the World Trade Center half an hour before it happened. Building 7 came down in a controlled demolition style.
Global warming was first dismissed and later ridiculed. All this was done in a carefully crafted propaganda campaign by the oil industry in order to discourage the truth from coming out in the open that the burning of fossil fuel actually did cause planetary warming and that continuing on this path unchecked would eventually bring life to an end on this planet.
I remember talking to an American friend about Hollywood movies. I commented that movies show a lot of crime, violence, bank robberies, conspiracies, and so forth and then I added, "Movies don't depict the truth right? Movies just add too much spice to things. It isn't bad enough in reality." He laughed and said, "It isn't bad enough in the movies." It took me over a decade to understand that the truth is far uglier and far more dangerous than what movies have ever shown.
The FIFA World Cup that just ended with Spain's victory, which was perhaps the only good thing that happened in the entire tournament, has laid bare two realities, at least for me. One, human beings hold no control over the result of anything. There is a higher power, who is in charge. Two, there is no such thing as rules, merit, equality, principles, doing the right thing, and so on. Argentina cheated in every game, including the final. FIFA undid the red card for the American player just because a con artist in the White House asked it to do so. FIFA and Epstein have convinced the world population that the elite club doesn't care about the general population, as my favorite comedian George Carlin said, "It's a big club and you ain't in it."
There are three major threats to human survival: climate change; the erosion of democracy; and the threat of nuclear war. The first two have been happening for decades and accelerating at a rapid pace. The excessive heat, and the helplessness of people when they see those in authority make decisions that they can do nothing about are clear testaments to these threats. No power could stop climate change and the erosion of democracy. In fact, the major powers caused them. Those we think in power are powerless and those behind the curtains do not care about the people or the future of humanity. The religious fanatics in Israel and India represent a serious threat of nuclear war, especially aided by a realisation that power and money win versus global public opinion. As I said, FIFA, Epstein and Israel have made that much very clear. I just do not know how and why nukes won't be used when temperature rises.
A nuclear war is sooner than being on Mars.
