Casey Affleck’s gothic mystery Company features Nick Nolte, Ben Mendelsohn and a star-studded cast in a dark tale

Casey Affleck’s upcoming gothic mystery film Company has assembled an impressive ensemble cast featuring Nick Nolte, Adelaide Clemens, Ben Mendelsohn, Scoot McNairy, Emily Alyn Lind and Caylee Cowan.
The film marks Affleck’s return to directing after his 2019 feature Light of My Life and serves as his third feature behind the camera.
Written and directed by Affleck, Company is described as a psychological gothic mystery that explores themes of grief, revenge, forgiveness and human connection. According to Variety, the film wrapped production earlier this year in Whistler, Canada, and is being produced through a collaboration between Image Nation Studios, Rabbits Black, Spooky Pictures, Artists Equity, Arcana Studio and Artemis Pictures.
Set during a winter night in 1975, the story follows a mysterious woman named Evelyn who arrives unexpectedly at a holiday gathering and shares the tale of Tom, an aging hermit who rescues a stranded actress during a Colorado blizzard decades earlier. As the stories unfold across different generations, the film explores a series of dark events, including a troubled drifter, a farming couple and a wave of murders that spreads fear across the frontier.
The production team includes producers Steven Schneider, Roy Lee, Casey Affleck, Caylee Cowan, Dan Lawler and Sean Patrick O’Reilly. The film also features executive producers from Image Nation Studios, Spooky Pictures and Rabbits Black.
Affleck, who won an Academy Award for Manchester by the Sea, is known for his emotionally driven storytelling style. With its atmospheric setting and acclaimed cast, Company is expected to be a standout entry in the gothic thriller genre.
