Worker dies in factory lift crash

MULTAN:

A 53-year-old factory worker died after a lift crashed due to a broken cable at a brush and vaporisers manufacturing unit near Chungi No. 11 on Tuesday.

According to Rescue 1122, the victim, identified as Mustafa, was injured when the lift suddenly fell.

Rescue teams provided first aid and performed CPR before shifting him to Nishtar Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. Rescue officials said the preliminary investigation suggested that the accident occurred due to a snapped lift cable.
