Man attempts suicide after killing wife

RAWALPINDI:

A man allegedly slit his wife's throat to death before drinking acid in an apparent attempt to end his own life following a domestic dispute in the Kahuta area of Rawalpindi.

According to Rescue 1122 and police, emergency teams responded to reports of an injured woman and a critically ill man inside a house. Rescue personnel, along with DSP Kahuta Waqar Azeem and the SHO, reached the scene and found the woman dead with her throat slit, while the man was in critical condition.

Rescue 1122 provided first aid to the man before shifting him to hospital. After collecting forensic evidence, police also moved the woman's body to hospital.
