Four held for assaulting traffic wardens

City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) arrested four suspects for allegedly assaulting traffic wardens during enforcement of traffic laws in two separate incidents, officials said on Monday.

According to police, the incidents occurred when traffic wardens stopped motorists for wrong parking and over-speeding violations.

The suspects allegedly misbehaved with the officials and physically assaulted them, while two others managed to escape. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi took notice of the incidents and directed legal action.
