Marvel releases first Avengers: Doomsday trailer ahead of December 2026 release

Marvel Studios has officially released the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, offering fans their biggest look yet at the highly anticipated superhero blockbuster ahead of its theatrical release on December 18, 2026.

The trailer previews an epic crossover that brings together heroes from three different universes, setting the stage for what Marvel describes as a deadly collision against an unprecedented existential threat. The film features one of the franchise’s largest ensembles, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Simu Liu, Channing Tatum and several other Marvel stars.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who previously helmed Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, the film is produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito and Jonathan Schwartz.

Alongside the trailer launch, Marvel also confirmed that tickets for Avengers: Doomsday are now on sale. Moviegoers will also be able to experience the film in INFINITY VISION, a new certification for Premium Large Format (PLF) cinemas designed to provide enhanced picture quality, larger screens and immersive sound.

The trailer has quickly generated excitement across social media, with fans analysing its action sequences, returning characters and hints about the next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Avengers: Doomsday is expected to be one of the biggest cinematic releases of 2026, continuing Marvel Studios' interconnected superhero saga with a large-scale multiverse story.
