Inside Gerard Piqué and Clara Chía Martí's relationship as couple continues romance years after Shakira split

Gerard Piqué has been dating Clara Chía Martí since 2022 after ending his long-term relationship with Shakira

Gerard Piqué has largely kept his relationship with Clara Chía Martí out of the spotlight, but the couple has remained together since first being linked in 2022.

The former Barcelona and Spain defender, who retired from professional football in 2022, reportedly met Clara through Kosmos, the sports and entertainment company he founded. Clara, who is from Spain, works for the company in event organization while also studying public relations.

Their relationship first made headlines just months after Piqué and singer Shakira announced the end of their 11-year relationship. In the summer of 2022, Piqué and Clara were photographed together at Summerfest Cerdanya before making another public appearance at a wedding in Catalonia.

Over the following months, the couple were spotted on several outings together, including trips around Barcelona and vacations in France and the Czech Republic. During one of their travels, Piqué was joined by members of his family, including his brother Marc.

Piqué publicly confirmed the relationship in January 2023 by sharing a selfie with Clara on Instagram. He later posted another photo of the pair together, marking one of the few glimpses they've shared of their relationship on social media.

Before dating Clara, Piqué was in a long-term relationship with Colombian singer Shakira. The pair met in 2010 during the filming of the music video for "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)," the official song of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

They confirmed their relationship in 2011 and went on to welcome two sons together while living in Barcelona. After more than a decade together, the couple announced their separation in June 2022, asking for privacy as they focused on co-parenting their children.

Since then, Piqué and Clara have continued their relationship away from the public eye, making only occasional appearances together while keeping much of their personal life private.
