9 killed in Chakwal road accident

CHAKWAL:

.A tragic road accident claimed lives of nine passengers and left 30 others injured after a bus crashed into a ravine near the Balkasar Interchange on the M-2 Motorway in Chakwal.

According to a private news channel, the bus was traveling from Islamabad to Lahore when one of its tires burst near the Balkasar Interchange.

Rescue 1122 immediately sent six emergency vehicles to the scene. Teams from the National Highways and Motorway Police, Chakwal Police, and the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) also joined the rescue operation. In another accident, three people were injured after a vehicle overturned near Chakwal Morr, Mandrah.
